Online Rubrics

The Rubric module is an educationally focused module that is a plug-in for the Assignment Studio. The two together will allow end users to assess other users of the site (of a certain roles, like instructor to student). It allows for the creation of a taxonomy, which is used as "assignments", and then the association of a rubric to each assignment. One rubric can be reused many times and associated with many different assignments. Different components of the rubric will be reusable in and of itself. Criteria (rows), Categories (groups of rows) and entire rubrics can be replicated and reused in part or in whole within other rubrics. Web 2.0 tools have been constructed to make the creation of rubrics very simple as well as the association with an assignment / taxonomy term.

The Rubric module can also be used as a stand-alone but the true power is unleashed when hooked up with the assignment studio.  Watch the videos to understand how to install and create a sample rubric with the Rubric module.
